Went to Paris over the weekend. The Eiffle Tower at night is well known as a pretty special experience.

Went to the Hayward Gallery on the southbank. Dont like paying for exhibitions but this was well worth my £6 student consession. 'Phsyco Buildings-artist take on architecture' provided a exiting interactive exhibit that challenged human spacial experience. I was rowing on the galleries exterier trays looking over the southbank and central london (exhibit by Austrian artist Gelitin)

"The exhibition brings together the work of artists who create habitat-like structures and architectural environments. Become an adventurous participant as you explore The Hayward's spaces inside and out, including a room frozen in a moment of explosive disaster, an eerie village of over 200 dollhouses, a floating plastic cloud and a skyline boating pond."
Landscape end of year get together at Levant Lebanese restaurant on Wigmore street.

Model at the building centre.

"Second prize was awarded to Kingston first year student Harry Bix for his one minute cartoon, giving a simple and humorous take on explaining just what it is that landscape architecture is about. Harry was commended for his novel use of Autocad."

Was part of Brentford biopsy with the artist Christian Nold. It is a collection or study of the Brentford area through emotional mapping. I provided my own responses through drawing exercises as well as taking a walk around brentford whilst hooked up to a data reading device that recorded my sweat levels and ultimatly my arousal levels in the particular areas of the town. The HQ for the project was the Watermans art centre and we reviewed our data there. I was most aroused when I was next to the Brenford Football ground.

My mother Clare Bix (or Clare Motte) received a first class honours in fine art last year. This is her own statement about her work.
What do the objects we choose to surround ourselves with say about us? Our possessions, like words in a sentence or actors on a stage, convey messages about who we are, what we like and our relationships with other people.
An object that speaks so loudly about us is an important medium in my work. I re-present these objects so we can examine how we feel about our own possessions and what important messages they convey to other.

‘Going Nowhere’ is a whimsical piece. It was inspired by the sorting out, we have of our possessions. How by rejecting certain objects we place more importance on the ones we choose to keep. These are the survivors!

Greyfriars current members exhibition includes this bronze apple by Kabir Hussain.

bix work Produced some work for a photography exhibition at Greyfriars art space. I framed 18 index prints (the photo of all the photos you get when you have a film developed from jessops, boots etc) which I have found through old and new photos ranging from photos at primary school to skiing in bulgaria to photos for art and space and landscape experiments to whatever else. Alot of my sketchbook work is about using drawing to make diary extracts or recorded moments in time. Index prints gather a huge amount of diary extracts and recorded moments in a different media on a small space and a few of them together really tell a small story and personal information of my life between those times. Not sure how I will hand them yet but the exhibition starts 16th June. (GAS, Kings Lynn)
